Congratulations to “Savvas Savvas” for winning double tickets to the March 3 boxing extravaganza plus a night at Emperors Palace worth R3500.
Fans were asked the best SA fight they’d want to see and while there were many submissions, Savvas’ entry – Thabiso Mchunu versus Tommy Oosthuizen – struck a chord.
It has obvious appeal, but it’s also an impossible fight given how Mchunu has taken his foot off the gas and Oosthuizen continues to wrestle with his demons. It’s very much a case of what might have been, so while we can wonder at the possibilities, we can also regret that such an absorbing match-up could never be made.
