Lerena vs. Havnaa is Close
Promoter Nisse Sauerland says to Norwegian paper VG that a deal for IBO cruiserweight king Kevin Lerena to defend the title against Kai Robin Havnaa in late September in Oslo, Norway, is close.
According to VG there are still a few details to be worked out and there is a possibility that the fight, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will go ahead without an audience.
Lerena (25-1) has defended the title six times by now and was last seen stopping Firat Arslan in Germany in February.
Havnaa (16-0) holds the IBO Int´l title but has yet to be tested – should he win he will the first Norwegian male fighter to capture a world title since his father Magne beat Boon Pultz back in 1990 to win the WBO title.
