IBO World cruiserweight champion Kevin Lerena will make his 6th defence of the title

IBO World cruiserweight champion Kevin Lerena will make his 6th defence of the title when he comes up against Firat Arslan at the AWD Arena Goppingen in Germany on the 8th of February 2020. The southpaw champion has only lost once in 25 professional outings, a defeat he later avenged. The vastly experienced Arslan will be having his 59th professional bout, boasting a record 47 wins, 8 losses and 3 draws. Arslan held the WBA cruiserweight title from 2007 to 2008. In 2012 and 2014 he challenged for the WBO cruiserweight title and in 2014 he also challenged for the IBF title, making him a credible opponent for Lerena. Lerena is currently ranked number 3 by the IBF and number 2 by the WBA.
