Golden Gloves signs ‘Golden Boy’

Golden Gloves has entered into a partnership with Last Born Promotions to help steer the career of former world title challenger Azinga Fuzile.
Announcing the deal, promoter Rodney Berman said that Fuzile’s first bout under the new arrangement would take place at Emperors Palace in March.
In the interim, he will be fighting in the Eastern Cape next month.
“At his best, he’s an electrifying talent,” said Berman. “I’ve long kept an eye on his progress and at 28 he still has several good years ahead.”
Fuzile captured the SA featherweight championship in just his fifth outing and soon entered the world rankings on the back of a fast, exciting style that blends power and movement.
Three years ago the southpaw was unsuccessful challenging for the IBF junior lightweight belt, but has since reeled off three stoppage wins which showed a welcome return to his mojo of old.
Promoter Mla Tengimfene will continue to advise Fuzile with the new arrangement offering wider options and greater exposure.
